Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

This is a procedure used in IVF treatment that increases the chances of fertilization of eggs. It is one of the most common methods of fertilization that is preferred by couples. In cases where the sperm is not active enough, ICSI comes into the picture. During the process of ICSI, a single sperm is injected into the center of the egg using a tiny needle called a Micropipette. ICSI is recommended in cases where the sperm do not move enough, it has problems attaching itself to the egg, there is s blockage in the male reproductive tract, or eggs haven’t been fertilized by traditional IVF.
